We Gather Together and Praise God

Music to prepare us for worship!

Ringing of the Call to Worship Bell

Call to Worship  (Psalms 111, Mark 1)

Come and sit at the feet of our teacher

Christ reveals the ways of God.

Come and see that God’s kingdom has drawn near.

God sets the captives free and fills the needy with good things.

Come and praise our source of courage and strength.

The Spirit leads us in wisdom and truth.

Come! Let us worship the Lord

 *Opening Prayer (Mark 1)

God of mystery and might, when your presence overwhelmed your people, you sent prophets, teachers, ad guides to call them back to life; when we wandered in the shadows, you sent your Son, Jesus, to open our eyes, that we might see your ways anew. Open our hearts and minds this day, that we might understand your holy mysteries and proclaim your teaching for all to hear. Amen.
